a brazen ecstasy which begs
the question some of us are asking -
is Peter Goulding multi-tasking?"

Stony Thursday - who can hang a name on you?

Visitors and work have kept me from commenting on the 10th edition of Stony Thursday which arrived a week or two ago from Limerick City Arts Office. As usual, this is a lovely collection of contemporary poetry and features a strong contingent of my friends with Meath connections, namely Orla Fay (whose Glove is actually quite erotic); James Lawless (two masterful poems); Tommy Murray doing what he does best in a Kavanagh-esque way; and Brian Kirk with a brilliantly evocative piece about the Kitchen in Winter.

I leave the Stony Thursday to dip and out of occasionally. I can't read it all at once as my mind can't take it all in. But its a great book, despite the fact that a poem of mine accidentally slipped through the net. But there are so many beautiful poems that the standard doesn't noticeably fall as a result.

  1. Yes it is Peter, it is an older poem. I love Kevin Graham's poem and well done on your sonnet!
