For those of you suitably inspired by Barbara Smith's magnificent second place in last year's Wigtown Poetry Competition, with the Scold Bridles, a gentle reminder that 5th February is the deadline.
Sadly I will not be entering. The £6.50 per poem entry fee (sterling, I might add) is somewhat excessive. And there is no online entry. The Bank of Ireland in Dunboyne will not be able to sell me a sterling draft for a ridiculous sum.
However, for those people who are incredibly foolish, the entry form has a provision where you write down your Credit Card number and verification number, expiry number and signature. Then you post it off...
