"Seven bums and fourteen legs,
a brazen ecstasy which begs
the question some of us are asking -
is Peter Goulding multi-tasking?"

Wigtown Poetry competition

The highly prestigious Wigtown Poetry Competition is open for business with a closing date, like Strokestown of February 5th. See http://www.wigtownbookfestival.com/poetrycomp/index.asp
Last year of course, our own Barbara Smith - www.intendednot2b.blogspot.com - achieved second prize in the competion with The Scold Bridles.

I've always liked the idea of this competition but will not be entering this year because
1) the entry fee of £6.50 (Sterling) per poem is a little high, and
2) the payment method for those of us in Euroland is just too much hassle. Either you find time to go and queue in a bank and pay well over the odds for a sterling draft, or you send them your credit card number on a sheet of paper, which I consider to be well dodgy.
