a brazen ecstasy which begs
the question some of us are asking -
is Peter Goulding multi-tasking?"

Get ready, dear, for Dromineer

It may seem like a while away but the autumn's coming like a jail on wheels, to paraphrase a Clash song, and you'll be surprised how quickly summer disappears, so its no harm in pencilling in the Dromineer Literary Festival, held at the end of September. I've always liked the look of this poetry competition (there's a short story competition too) even though I've never had any success therein.
Last year of course Connie Roberts scooped the award with Michael Farry featuring prominently among the commendeds.

The 2011 Festival Programme is currently being finalised, but we are delighted to announce that acclaimed writers Jennifer Johnston (above), Dermot Healy and Vincent McDonnell have confirmed that they will be taking part in this year's festival.
Other highlights will include a performance by The Poetry Divas (yahoooooo!!!!) and by The Nenagh Players, and a screening of a short film, written, directed and produced by students on the Media Arts Degree course at the Dublin Institute of Technology, Aungier St.
