a brazen ecstasy which begs
the question some of us are asking -
is Peter Goulding multi-tasking?"

Boyne Berries 9

I was all set to attend the launch of Boyne Berries 9 last Thursday but during the afternoon in work, I developed what, if I were middle-class, I would call a migraine but was actually a blinding headache. I'd even nearly learnt my poem off by heart but all for nothing and it appears I missed what was undoubtedly a great evening.

My contributor's copy came through the post this morning and a quick flick shows me that the usual high standard has been maintained. Peggy Gallagher has a great little poem about a reconnected phone that caught the eye and I am looking forward to sitting down and reading the whole book very slowly. (My eye was also drawn to a poem called A Hard Place by Antoinette Rock. I am left wondering if this is intentionally a good joke by the author, or an accident!)

The magazine is available on sale in Antonia's Bookshop, Trim, Spar, Trim and in Dublin at the bookmarket in the Twisted Pepper Building on Abbey Street each Saturday afternoon from 1pm to 6pm and in Galway in Charlie Byrne's Bookshop. You can purchase a copy online HERE
