A lovely rejection

Dear Peter Goulding,
Thank you for letting us consider your work, sent to us under the title "Versal submission (poems x 5)".
After close review, we have decided not to use it in the upcoming Versal. Thank you for giving us the chance to consider it.
We enjoyed this work and are interested in seeing more from you in the future, though please submit only once per genre per reading period. Our next reading period begins in September 2011. You can stay in touch with Versal via our mailing list, which you can join from here: http://www.wordsinhere.com.
Best wishes,

Honest to God, you don't mind getting rejected when the PFO is phrased so well. I fact, its almost better than being accepted.
The five I submitted were, unusually for me, part of a sequence and therefore I think it was a case of reject one, reject all, which is fair enough

  4. maybe they should be forced to reply in verse each time?

I haven't sent anything off for a long time - there's only so many "dear INSERT NAME HERE" letters you can stand :)
