Received my copy of Abridged last week. Its quite the glossy, A4 coffee table magazine, so may have to buy a coffee table to put it on.This was the Magnolia issue - poeticise about Magnolia was the brief and there's some amazing stuff in there, in particular from David Mohan and Helena Nolan, who was a Strokestown finalist this year. Stuck at the back was my effort. I actually did a piece of light, rhyming verse in praise of Magnolia, thinking maybe they'd get a surfeit of anti-magnolites and surprisingly, it worked!
Nothing much about Abridged online. I know they are Derry-based and the theme for the next issue will be Nostalgia is a Loaded Gun. Have requested to be put on the mailing list, so further info when it arrives.
