If you didn't get around to submitting your 20 poems and €25 to the annual Patrick Kavanagh awards this year, then you've still time, because, for the second year running, they've extended the deadline - this time to 7th October.
Hate it when they do that.

They'll make a fortune with an extra week of checks flying their way. I don't understand why, beyond the aforementioned obvious, this is so expensive to enter. Feel like I'm paying 25 euro so someone can have a good laugh before they bin my offerings. So I haven't entered this year... stay with me will power!
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of sorry I did now. It is rather exorbitant - I'm afraid I was guided by the little voice that tells me my poetry is the best thing ever written.
ReplyDeleteYou are on a roll this year Peter, sure to get a mention in the PK awards even first place!
ReplyDeleteMichael, you have a highly exaggerated impression of my poetical prowess.... (but thanks!)
ReplyDeleteBut softly, softly, I'll be happy with a mention. As a previous 'commended' you must be in with a shout, I'd say?
