I've been spectacularly unsuccessful in entering non-Irish and English poetry competitions. I've been published in Lucidity an online American journal but other than that, not a dicky bird. (It does allow me to put "has been published in America" in my bio, though) Possibly this has to do a lot with the parochial feel to a lot of competitions.
The brilliant Monaghan poet Noel Monaghan says he submits a lot to New Zealand journals. While browsing, I came across this competition, offering decent prizes, online entry and 3 poems for under €6.
Closing date is 31st August so plenty of time to get your thinking caps on
(Dreams - "has been published in three continents")
Well it's affordable Pete, so it might be worth a lash, but even at that price I cannot raise the cash.
