Poets meet painters

Dear All
Congratualtions for being selected for inclusion in the publication for the Poets meet Painters Competition. We were delighted with the standard and yours were chosen for the book. I attach an invitation to the launch and do hope that many of you will be able to make it. Those placed in the first three are invited to read their piece out. The kids' competition launch is being held the same evening.
Do bring family and friends along. You will receive 3 free copies if you are 'placed' and one for everone else and we will be selling copies that evening to cover some of the cost of the publication.
Some of the artists who inspired your work will attend as will Cherry Smyth, the judge.
Look forward to seeing you there.

Basically your task, housemates, was to write a pome about one of the exhibits in the Millcove Gallery on the Beara peninsular (which as I remember is the one with the cable-car to Dursey Island at the end of it) I did the one above which is by Ana Duncan.
Looking at the email addresses of others to whom the email was sent, it appears that David Mohan and Afric McGlinchey were also selected for inclusion, so I'm in exalted company. The winner was Annette Skade and her winning entry can be found here
