I was never at a book festival. The only time I seem to get for reading is the few minutes between getting into bed and falling into the deep sleep of the just.
Anyway, two festivals this weekend for the more avid readers amongst you, one in Ennis, the other in Dublin.
The Ennis one features Paul Durcan, Claire Keegan, Claire Kilroy, Thomas Lynch, Joseph O'Connor, Lionel Shriver, Alan Titley and Niall Williams.
The Dublin one includes Chris Agee, Eva Bourke, Paddy Bushe, Ciaran Carson, Theo Dorgan, Carlo Geblar, Hugo Hamilton, Kerry Hardie, Declan Hughes, Claire Keegan (doing something of a Phil Collins at Live Aid), Thomas Kilroy, Ciaran O'Driscoll and many more.
