Niamh on Francis MacManus Shortlist

Sincere congratulations to Words a Day blogger Niamh Boyce whose short story The Every Day Woman has made the Francis MacManus shortlist. A short story apparently is kind of like a narrative poem with no line breaks, if you can imagine such a thing.
The Winners of the 2011 Francis Mac Manus Short Story Competition will be announced on a special edition of Arts Tonight with Vincent Woods on RTE Radio 1 on Monday 16th May at 10pm.
All the shortlisted stories will be broadcast on RTE Radio 1 beginning with the winning story on Monday 6th June at 11.10pm in The Book on One Slot.
