I've spent the past two days killing the terracotta on the hall, stairs and landing and replacing it with two coats of something called Natural Harvest. The paint brushes are washed, my glasses are just about see-through, the masking tape has been removed and just in time!
The very wonderful Canadian poet Kat Mortensen will be stopping by this blog on Monday, which will give me an opportunity to grill her on important subjects like her height and favourite chocolate bar.
Kat, who, you all know, blogs here, of course brought out Shadowstalking during the summer to great acclaim. Its a wonderful book, accessible, humorous, wry and satirical (see side panel for details)
Hi Peter!
ReplyDeleteHave you got any Lapsang Souchong? Despite smelling—as a friend of mine once said—"like ski-wax", it's my favourite! (Oh, and dark chocolate digestive biscuits, would be lovely, if you've got them.)
See you all Monday!
Kat
