is Peter Goulding multi-tasking?"

Dromineer Literary Festival - a Mystery??

The Dromineer Literary Festival took place at the end of the first week in October. Part of the festival included an open poetry competition wot I entered.
Both Connie Roberts (the winner) and Michael Farry (two poems in the highly commended) both received emails advising them of their success and inviting them down for the prize giving. Both attended and Michael was so good as to publish a list of winners on his blog here.
The winners were -

Poem.
1. Litany by Connie Roberts, New York.
2. Blue Day by Richard W Halperin, Paris.
3. Typewritten by Geraldine Mitchell, Louisburgh, Mayo.

Highly Commended Poets:
David McLoughlin, Castleconnell, Limerick. (2)
Richard W Halperin, Paris (2)
Michael Farry, Trim, Meath. (2)
Marie Coveney, Monkstown, Cork.
John Walsh, Inverin, Galway.
Patrick Maddock, New Ross, Wexford.
Nichola Griffin, Caher, Clare.
Evan Costigan, Moyvalley, Kildare.
Mae Newman, Rathfarnham, Dublin.

Bear with me here. I received no email and so took it that I had been unsuccessful. Nor does my name appear on Michael's list above.
However, trawling the festival site this evening, I come across the same list of winners on the site - identical in all aspects but one!!

1st. 'Litany' Connie Roberts, New York
2nd. 'Blue Day' Richard W Halperin, Paris
3rd. 'Typewritten' Geraldine Mitchell, County Mayo.
Commended:
David McLoughlin, Richard W Halperin, Nicola Griffin, Patrick Maddock,
John Walsh, Marie Coveney, Michael Farry, Peter Goulding, Mae
Newman, Evan Costigan.

I have dashed off a quick email to the festival organisers wondering which of my entries got the commended. To be honest, I feel a bit disgruntled!!

  3. Okay, mystery over. A response from the organisers -
"Unfortunately (for you) there was a slight mix up with the numbers of the HCs - Michael's list is correct Please accept our sincere apologies for this. I will make arrangements for the web details to be amended."
Fair enough - it wasn't as though I'm losing anything, anyway!
