is Peter Goulding multi-tasking?"

Blast from the past - 1974

This was the first single that I ever bought that didn't make it into the charts and I still feel it was good enough to have been a hit. I still have the single up in the attic.

This is Mike McGear, brother of Macca, and former member of The Scaffold. I think he's a photographer now. They say Macca churned this one out, songs, lyrics, arrangement etc

  1. I was NOT expecting the horns. I recognize that label, I think my 45 of "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac was on that.

Let's see, in 1974, I was listening to...probably "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" by Vicki Lawrence, or possibly, "Seasons in the Sun" by Canadian, Terry Jacks. Check this post from 2008: http://hyggedigter.blogspot.com/2008/07/song-remains-same.html

  2. Thanks for visiting my blog. You have so many different ones that I hardly know which one to click on. Shall put this one on my side bar.

  3. I know what you mean, Weaver; I got lost once and ended up on the "lighthouse" blog (not that they aren't ALL fascinating).

  4. Hi Kat,
Yes, Seasons in the Sun was a big hit here too. Always intrigued at the story behind the song, if there was one.

  5. I always thought it was funny how he was the good looking one.
I don't actually remember the song, although I did have 'Lily the Pink' as a single, vinyl, 45.
