My sparkling run of failures continues with my absence from the long list of the Over the Edge New Writer of the Year competition.I thought one of the three I sent in stood a good chance but obviously I am no judge. Maybe I shouldn't have gone for rhyme. Some people hate it.
Not many familiar names on the list, though some of them are short story writers of course. Michael Farry is in there again - congratulations Michael - and Evan Costigan.
Oh well, maybe next year.
I sent them some of my BESTEST, bviously "lost in the post might" accounts for these obvious oversights...
ReplyDeleteSorry Peter, feeling a bit guilty about making the list now. When I don't make a list I always think - It's all a lottery anyhow. When I do make the list I think - How brilliant is that judge to spot the really good stuff!
