"Seven bums and fourteen legs,
a brazen ecstasy which begs
the question some of us are asking -
is Peter Goulding multi-tasking?"

From Forward Press

Forward Press has joined fund-raising forces with the Golden Grove Appeal (Healing the Wounds) and we are currently compiling a poetry collection. We’d like to invite you to show your support for Armed Forces Day on the 26th June, as well as the Golden Grove Appeal (Healing the Wounds), by sending us your poem. A percentage of the book sales will raise much-needed funds for the Golden Grove Appeal (Healing the Wounds).

The competition is open to all, poems can be submitted on any theme and in any style. There is no line-length restriction (within reason!), no entry fee and poems are welcome to have dedications. If 1,000 entries are received Forward Press will offer a cash prize of £250 to the best poet in the book. The Golden Grove Appeal (Healing the Wounds) have confirmed that Rhosydd Bach Holiday Cottages, Pwellii North Wales have also donated a weekend away for the winner.

Please mark your entries 'Golden Grove Appeal' and send them to:

Alternatively, email your poem to inbox@forwardpress.co.uk by 30th July 2010. Please remember to include your name and postal address on your poem.

  1. Peter! Oh great idea Peter! only by mail? are there any websites? Definitely will try this! How much for a Canadian stamp to England? I will try this! Is Peterborough in Wales? (that's England right) Pardon my ignorance but I havent mailed a letter to England in the longest time, not since HR Puffinstuff and my Tiger Beat crush on Jack London in 69. You know, The Artful Dodger? I rather fancied him!

  2. Hi Chic, if you click on the first two words it should bring you to the website but yes I believe you can only submit by post.
When you see the combination of letters and numbers at the end of the address, like PE2 9JX, that means it is a United Kingdom postcode. The UK comprises 4 constituent parts - England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Petereborough is in England.
But I have no idea how much a Canadian stamp to England is!!

  3. H.R. Puffnstuff! I adored that show. I think it was Jack Wild though, wasn't it?
I have a post about it on my Blasts From The Past Blog.
    Witchie Poo, was a hoot!
