According to Orla Fay's blog she received word last week that she had one of her poems highly commended in the Windows / Cavan Crystal poetry competition. There is nothing on the website as yet but this would seem to indicate that I don't have to get time off next Thursday to travel up to the awards ceremony.
I'm not too disappointed - this competition attracts some excellent poets.
