Not going to Jordan

Seems like I didn't feature in the Drivetime Holiday in Jordan competition to name a film title suitable for the recent wet and cold weather.

The winner was The Anglo'ville Horror. It may be sour grapes but I don't get it. To be honest though, I don't get a lot of Drivetime competition winners!

Some other (and I think better) entries were:
“Harry Potter and the Mysterious Potholes”
• What the fliuch is going on?
• “Swimming in the Rain”
• “Snow Fright and the Seven Stress Fractures”
• “In Brrrr”
• “The Blizzard was Odd”
• “Waders in the Lost Pairc”
• “Fliuch 'n Sioch”
• “State of Paralysis”
• “The Thermal Longjohns of the North”
• “Icecold in Abbeyleaks”

I was fairly sure my "Slide hard with a vengeance" would see me riding Indiana Jones-like into Petra, but apparently not.

  1. I may be biased, but I liked your best. "The Blizzard was Odd" was my next favourite. If you have to be fluent in Gaelic, then I want out, Ted! I can bless meself, but that's it.

I think the winner was way off (don't get the connection). I believe, as they say, the "fix was in".

  2. Hi Kat - I liked the Waders in the Lost Pairc myself.
They have great prizes on this show - its a radio show - they read a lot of them out and invariably you're left scratching your head with the choice of winner!
