Issue 9 of Martin Parker's Lighten Up Online is now up and running.
The journal is dedicated to "light verse" and is determined to put this genre on its rightful pedestal as an equal to "proper poetry." I suspect he may have a long battle on his hands, but for those who enjoy a spot of humour in their poetry, Lighten up Online is a great read.
Martin incidentally was a finalist in last year's Percy French Competition at Strokestown although he was unable to travel over due to Ryanair's prohibitive fares!
