Unable to attend the year's final meeting of the Phoenix Writers Group in the Bell last night, as we visited the Christmas market in the IFSC instead.In 2007, we visited the Frankfurt Weihnachtsmarkt in the shadow of the beautiful old church in the city centre. Last year we visited Cologne and its six or seven markets.
Enjoyed Dublin's effort, except for the water-sodden matting which froze the soles of your feet. But at least we added to our collection of Christmas market mugs!
Tonight I have royal dispensation to attend Boyne Writers Open Mic session in Knigtsbridge Retirement village, though as I write this, the sleet is coming down and her royal assent may be withdrawn on grounds of health and safety.
